Your private long-term disability insurance company (LTD carrier) may refer you to Allsup. That’s because they know there are a number of other benefits available to you if you qualify for the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) you paid for through payroll taxes. And getting help from Allsup also could help protect your LTD income.

 

Why? Many LTD insurance company policies require that you seek SSDI if it’s likely you also will meet the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) definition of disabled. Following the terms of your policy and applying for SSDI is one important way you can protect your LTD income.

 

 

How does all this work?  Your LTD carrier asks Allsup to evaluate if you are likely to qualify for SSDI benefits, too. If we believe you may qualify, and depending on the arrangements made by your LTD carrier, Allsup will represent you through the Application and/or Appeal processes.

Depending on your insurance carrier, our service may be provided at no cost to you or for a fee, which is set by the SSA and often is tax deductible.
