Free, online event set for Thursday, Sept. 27; chat with experts, connect with health, finance and social service resources, network
Belleville, Ill.—July 31, 2012—Allsup, a nationwide provider of services for those with disabilities, will bring together more than a dozen leading health, disability, advocacy and social service organizations for the first True Help® Disability Web Expo on Thursday, September 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST. The free, virtual event is designed to help anyone with disabilities and chronic illness meet with organizations offering information on a wide range of topics and programs.
Experts in health and chronic conditions, disability rights and advocacy, Social Security Disability Insurance, veterans’ disability, financial planning, Medicare and health insurance will provide educational sessions and screening services, answer questions and seek participant feedback during the live, one-day event.
“We help individuals with disabilities connect with resources they often didn’t even know existed,” said Allsup founder and CEO Jim Allsup. “This Expo is taking what our team members do on an individual basis every day, and making True Help® available to anyone with an Internet connection. The information, programs and resources featured at the Expo have changed people’s lives.”
The event will connect people with disabilities and chronic illness, caregivers, veterans, seniors, public health professionals, healthcare providers, case managers and social workers with program services, organizations, resources and advocates who can help them improve financial, health and social needs.
