LeighAnn Jarry Discusses Ticket To Work Benefits On SiriusXM’s The David Webb Show
LeighAnn Jarry, vice president of Allsup Employment Services (AES), joined host David Webb on SiriusXM’s The David Webb Show, airing on Patriot Channel 125, on Oct. 21, 2026.
In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Jarry discussed how Social Security’s Ticket to Work Program helps people receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits explore employment opportunities without putting their benefits at immediate risk.
For many SSDI beneficiaries, the possibility of losing disability income or Medicare coverage can make returning to work feel uncertain. Jarry said that fear is one of the largest barriers for people who want to work, and she explained how understanding Social Security’s work incentives and getting personalized employment support can help ease it.
As a Social Security-authorized Employment Network, AES provides free employment services to eligible beneficiaries through the voluntary Ticket to Work Program. The AES team helps individuals understand work incentives designed to protect SSDI and Medicare benefits as they transition into employment.
For example, eligible SSDI beneficiaries can generally continue receiving their full disability payments during a nine-month Trial Work Period (TWP), regardless of earnings, as long as they report their work and meet Social Security’s requirements. Beneficiaries who qualify also can keep Medicare coverage for at least 93 months after the TWP ends, even if their SSDI cash payments stop because of work.
This employment support can continue after someone finds a job as well. AES offers career guidance, job search assistance and ongoing employment support, including help navigating Social Security reporting requirements and understanding how earnings may affect benefits.
Jarry also discussed the value workers with disabilities bring to employers and how AES helps connect employers with qualified candidates whose skills and experience can contribute to the workplace.
SSDI beneficiaries considering employment can request a free call from AES or call (866)-540-5105 to learn more about the available options.
