Allsup Observes Mental Health Month at GCS Ballpark, May 12

Sponsors NAMI “Race for Recovery” and provides information on returning to work with a mental illness

Belleville, Ill.—May 1 , 2018—Allsup, the nation’s premier Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) representation company, will provide eligibility screenings and information on return to work assistance at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Illinois, at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southwestern Illinois’ Race for Recovery and mental health fair Saturday, May 12.

Held each May to observe Mental Health Month, the event raises awareness and funds to provide free mental health education and support for 12 Southwestern Illinois counties.

Individuals living with mental illness who cannot continue working often need assistance applying for disability benefits. However, SSDI monthly cash benefits typically replace only about half of an individual’s former income.

Allsup Employment Services helps SSDI beneficiaries use the Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work program to return to work so they can increase their income and reclaim their financial future.

For those unable to attend the event, a free dual purpose SSDI/return to work tool makes applying for SSDI easier, and provides information on the Ticket to Work program. It is is available online at Expert.TrueHelp.com.
