Allsup Provides Disability Benefits Screenings At Colon Cancer Alliance Undy Run In Forest Park, March 19

St. Louis event is the CCA’s largest, with more than 2,000 participants taking to the streets in their underwear to explore a giant colon, raise awareness and promote colorectal cancer screening

Belleville, Ill. — March 10, 2016 — Allsup, the nation’s premier Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) representation company, will provide Social Security and veterans disability benefits screenings against the backdrop of a giant inflatable colon, Saturday, March 19, at the Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) St. Louis Undy Run in Forest Park.

The event is designed to spark conversations about colon cancer, which is the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., according to the CCA. Allsup is pleased to be an event sponsor and provide disability information and resources.

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosis in SSDI applications. While most survivors of colorectal cancer continue working, SSDI is an important resource for those who can’t work for 12 months or more.

SSDI benefits include a regular monthly income, based on how much an individual has paid into the system, Medicare eligibility and return to work assistance. The first step in the SSDI application process is to determine eligibility for the program.

Allsup team members will be available on-site to answer questions and help individuals determine if they may be eligible for SSDI benefits or veterans disability appeals.
